Please be praying for me as I head off to Guatemala next Wednesday.  We will be ministering in Santiago Atitlan which from all of the pictures I have seen appears to be a beautiful place.  I am looking forward to seeing it.  It sits on a lake and volcanoes overlook the village.  It is still very rich in Mayan culture and arts and much of their heritage has been preserved. 

We will be partnering with a local church there of 400 which is an amazing size.  We will be doing Vacation Bible School, sports ministry, prayer walks, and door to door.  In addition we will help with some construction of the area.  A couple of years ago following Hurricane Katrina parts of this region in Guatemala were devastated by hurricane Stan.  We will be working with a family to rebuild their home. 

Please be praying for me as it is a little overwhelming to go to a brand new country and be responsible for 50 teenagers.  Pray that I will be detailed but will also allow God to work and trust him to take care of the minor things - Be anxious for nothing.  Please continue to pray that God will provide translators for us.  Pray for the groups, that they will be prepared but also be flexible and ready to go where ever the Lord or the
church needs and not always what they want or planned on.  I look forward to all that God is going to do.  I am thankful for the peace that he gives me and know that without him I would not be able to do this.  Phil.  4:6 "Do not be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God."
