Thank you all for praying last week for all of these requests and so many
more! It was an amazing week of
ministry. Continue to pray for these
students and that their faith will continue to grow.
You prayed for safety, not only during ministry sites but in transportation.
There were no travel incidents and on the ministry site
we had only one trip to the hospital for a bump on the head. One of 300 people isn't too bad.
You prayed for the drivers that they will have confidence and will know
where they are going.
As far as I know none of the drivers of 13 vans and 9
buses got lost once...not for more than a few minutes anyway.
You prayed for health for everyone!
All in all everyone was healthy. Again of 300 people, we had a couple fevers
and dehydrations but nothing compared to a few years ago when everyone got
sick.
You prayed for translators. There always seems to be a shortage of these!
We had 42 translators…one for each ministry team that
was there.
You prayed for
NO RAIN. Rain equals MUD in Matamoros which basically paralyzes
transportation and therefore ministry.
This was one of the biggest praises of all…when I got
there, there was a 60% chance of rain of all 4 days. It looked rough out a couple of days but we
didn't have a single drop all week. This
allowed us to finish building all 21 houses and also they counted that about
300 people accepted Christ that week.
You prayed that the vehicles will all work…all week!
We had a couple vans break down but they were back up
in running condition no longer than 1 day later. Many of the vans and any repairs to buses
were made in the afternoon when we got back and were ready to go the next
day. I am so thankful for our mechanic
who worked long hours to make sure everything was running.
You prayed for clarity for my mind as I try to think through all the angles.
I am thankful for the clarity that God gave me. I know that God has given many people
different gifts. Thanks to him for the
abilities that he has given me. It was
an honor to be apart of the work down there.
You prayed for the rest of the staff and leaders to also have clarity and
remember the details of their jobs.
The rest of the staff did their job amazingly. We were understaffed and there was much work
to be done. I was thankful for each one
that did their part. I was thankful that
when a task or a job was delegated it got done and didn't have to be followed
up on.
Thanks for being apart of the ministry last
week. You were part of the team!
